The terms “we”, “our”, “us” and “The Serpents Lair” throughout these Terms & Conditions refer to The Serpents Lair Limited.
This site is owned and operated by The Serpents Lair Limited. All rights to (and in) this website are owned by us. Any unauthorised use, copying or modification is prohibited. On purchasing goods for sale from our website serpentslair.co.uk your contract is with The Serpents Lair Limited, and these terms and conditions therefore apply.
Material on this website is directed at viewers over the age of 18 in the United Kingdom (UK). We make no representations with regard to any of the material in relation to other countries or states. Those accessing this website from locations outside the UK are responsible for compliance with their local laws and customs. The contract between us shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Scottish law and the Scottish courts shall have jurisdiction to resolve any dispute between us.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND PRICING
All information including prices are correct at time of publishing and include VAT at the current rate applicable in the UK. Customers outside the UK are not entitled to any discount or refund to account for the differences in VAT or local taxes.
Every reasonable care has been taken to ensure that product descriptions and the colours shown are accurate. However, all measurements quoted are approximate and the reproduction of colours is as accurate as the photographic processes and your viewing screen or system will allow.
Any product specification changes made by suppliers are outside our control. If the changes to the product are such as to be considered minor or within the norms of manufacture (for example modifications and product design updates that have no bearing on the products performance, or changes to stitching, logos or trim detail that does not change the overall look or finish of the product) it will not be considered to be a replacement or substitute product. However, if deemed unsatisfactory, you have the right to return the product(s) as indicated in the CANCELLATION section of these TERMS & CONDITIONS.
We endeavour keep our website up to date, however occasionally content may include errors or mistakes. We reserve the right to withdraw any offers, promotions or products from sale which have been incorrectly displayed or priced on the website, or correct the price with immediate effect. We will not accept an order if there is a pricing or promotional error. If this occurs on your order we will contact you with the correct pricing or promotional details. If you decide not to go ahead with the order at the new price, or we don't hear from you within 7 days, we will automatically cancel the order for goods and refund the payment card you used when placing the order.
PROMOTIONS
We reserve the right to withdraw any offers, discounts and promotions without prior notice. Promotions where an item is to be supplied free, unless otherwise stated, the cheapest priced item is always the one considered to be free.
Promotional codes which enable customers to obtain discounts or offers are non-transferable and may only be used by the person to whom they are issued. Any voucher or promotional codes will only be accepted on orders from the customer to whom they were issued, and have no monetary or redeemable value for any other purpose.

PAYMENTS
All goods must be paid for at the point of ordering, including the cost of post and packaging as applicable. We use Amazon to securely process your card payment. Our stock system is live and normally we only accept orders for products we have in stock at the warehouse. However all products are subject to availability and in the unlikely event that we are unable to supply a product, we will inform you of this as soon as possible. A full refund will be given if you have already paid for the product(s).
DELIVERY
Please ensure the delivery address details you provide are correct. Orders with incorrect Post Codes or address details may be delayed or non deliverable and if so we accept no liability for any resulting delay or loss. We cannot accept orders for delivery to a PO Box address as a signature may be required at the point of delivery. Orders received before 12.00 (noon) Monday to Friday are normally processed and dispatched on the same day or the next working day (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays). Products with an item number starting "DD" are dispatched directly to you from our supplier or manufacturer, normally within 2 working days. If for any reason normal shipping dispatch times are altered or suspended due to holidays or temporary warehouse closure, a message will be clearly posted on the site informing customers. The Serpents Lair Limited has no liability for any delay or failure to deliver your parcel due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. For orders to addresses outside the UK it is your responsibility to ascertain as to whether the items are considered legally importable and to pay any additional importation costs that may be payable.
CANCELLATION
You may cancel your order up to 7 working days, starting from the day after the products were received (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays) in line with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. You need to inform us in writing that you wish to exercise this right within the 7 working days, starting the day after you received the goods. On written notification that you are cancelling your contract any monies debited to us from your payment card will be re-credited to you within 30 days of your order, providing the goods are returned in an acceptable unworn condition within that time. Please be aware that due to the intimate nature of underwear and swimwear products you cannot cancel the contract if you have worn or washed the product, unless it is faulty. SECURITY AND PRIVACY
The Serpents Lair Limited considers your security and privacy very important. Your details are only kept for the purpose of processing and dispatching your order. When you purchase from the serpentslair.co.uk website your credit or debit card is processed on our behalf by Amazon. We chose Amazon as our preferred partner as they offer you the customer a high level of security and the reassurance of a well known international brand. As a result, The Serpents Lair Limited has no access to your payment card details and as your payment is automated and securely encrypted you have the guarantee that your card details are safe.
We will only contact you by e-mail using the details you supply in respect to the order you have placed with us, for example to confirm your order, its dispatch or if there is a problem with your order. We will not send you marketing or promotional e-mails unless you have given us permission to do so. If you wish to receive promotional material and updates on special offers and sales from us you will need to sign up for our e-mail newsletter, or like us on Facebook. We will not sell or share your details for third party use.

We do our best to maintain our website so that you have uninterrupted access, however availability of access does not form any part of our contract with you and occasionally there may be times when our site is off-line for maintenance or interrupted due to circumstances outside of our control. The Serpents Lair Limited reserves the right to close any part or the entire site at any time and to amend or correct any site content, with or without prior notice. Our website is hosted and powered by Amazon.
It is not permitted to use our website for any criminal activity, nor to violate the security of our website or use it in any way that causes damage to the website or causes interruption to access for other users. All content including words, images and logos are copyrighted either by us, our suppliers, manufacturers or brand licence holders, and you are not permitted to copy, store or use any of the content for any use.

Access to this website is undertaken at your own risk. We are not responsible for any damages (including damage to computer hardware and software) resulting from your use of the website.
